For years, Sydney has been missing a large-scale Christmas experience, one that transforms the city into a glowing hub of joy, culture, and connection. 

When Jolly was born three years ago, it planted something bigger. 

Something that could grow into a tradition. Something the city could call its own. 

Over the past year, through ongoing conversations with government, precinct partners, and community leaders, one thing has become clear; Sydney is ready, and we’ve been trusted to bring it to life. 

Jolly Night Market is the answer. A bold, joyful, and beautifully Australian celebration. Made for this city. Made for this moment. 

Our intention is to create Sydney’s most joyful and iconic Christmas celebration. A night market that runs across 11 evenings and two weekends, inviting locals and driving visitors to (re)discover the city through a festive lens. We want it to feel warm, bright, and beautifully Australian. 

This market isn’t just about Christmas. It’s about showcasing who we are, blending Australian and First Nations cultures, and highlighting the richness of our land through artisan products, gourmet local produce, boutique wineries, and distilleries. We want this event to be a place for makers and creatives to share their craft, and for our community to connect. 

And of course, it should be jolly, filled with live music that lifts the spirit. With local performers playing smooth jazz, acoustic soul, and happy rhythms that make you want to wander, sip, taste, dance, and smile under the balmy night.
